Biographie
Connu pour sa voix chaleureuse de baryton, Gregory Porter est devenu célèbre dans les années 2010 avec sa marque terreuse et croisée de jazz, de soul et de gospel.
Il a annoncé son arrivée en décrochant une nomination aux Grammy Awards pour son premier album en 2010, Water. Bien que ses chansons originales soient son objectif principal, Porter revient souvent à ses racines, comme sur son album hommage de 2017 Nat King Cole & Me.
Après un album de concert enregistré en 2018 au Royal Albert Hall de Londres, il a de nouveau présenté son écriture de chansons infusée de R&B avec All Rise en 2020, avant de rassembler des standards, des pièces originales et des duos de stars pour l'album compagnon de 2021, Still Rising.

Known for his warm baritone voice, Gregory Porter rose to fame in the 2010s with his earthy blend of jazz, soul, and gospel.
He announced his arrival by garnering a Grammy Awards nomination for his debut album in 2010, "Water". While his original songs are his primary focus, Porter often returns to his roots, as seen on his 2017 tribute album "Nat King Cole & Me".
Following a live concert album recorded in 2018 at London's Royal Albert Hall, he once again showcased his R&B-infused songwriting with "All Rise" in 2020, before assembling standards, original pieces, and star duets for the companion album in 2021, "Still Rising".
